Correcting Implant Rupture, Asymmetry & Capsular Contracture

This patient is 6 months post-operative from a complex breast revision performed to address complications from a previous breast augmentation, including a ruptured left breast implant, Grade III capsular contracture, breast asymmetry, and implant malposition. Her revision surgery included removal of the existing implants, capsulectomy to address the scar tissue surrounding the implants, placement of new 340 cc Motiva (RSD) silicone implants, and a secondary breast lift to restore shape and position. TIGR Matrix internal support scaffold was also placed to provide additional soft-tissue reinforcement and help maintain long-term implant positioning. At 6 months post-operatively, she demonstrates improved breast symmetry, enhanced shape and projection, and a more balanced breast position. This result highlights how revision breast surgery can successfully address implant-related complications while restoring a natural, aesthetically pleasing contour.
