This patient in her 50s was interested in a procedure to tighten and flatten her tummy. She underwent VASER liposuction of the waist and a tummy tuck. Because she had minimal skin laxity, a T incision was necessary. T incisions are performed if a patient does not have enough skin to remove the opening around the belly button when a tummy tuck is performed. If this occurs, this incision is closed as a straight line over the lower abdomen. This allows your plastic surgeon to keep the rest of your scar low and hidden within the panty line.
