This patient in her 50s was interested in a procedure to tighten and flatten her tummy. She underwent VASER liposuction of the waist and a tummy tuck. Because she had minimal skin laxity, a T incision was necessary. T incisions are performed if a patient does not have enough skin to remove the opening around the belly button when a tummy tuck is performed. If this occurs, this incision is closed as a straight line over the lower abdomen. This allows your plastic surgeon to keep the rest of your scar low and hidden within the panty line. Note the athletic and muscular definition around her external obliques as they insert into her ab muscles. On her lateral views, note how flat her tummy is. Her results are shown at 3 months post op.
