This patient was concerned about the 'heavy' appearance of her upper eyelids affecting her vision and making her look tired. Notice how the skin over her upper eyelids rests on her lashes in the before photo. An upper eyelid blepharoplasty was performed to address this excess skin over her eyes and create a cleaner and more elegant contour to her upper eyelids. By addressing the excess skin and heaviness of the skin over the upper eyelids, more of her upper eyelid is seen in the after photos (increased pretarsal show) creating a more youthful, refreshed appearance.
